"MEMORIES OF LANDSCAPES": Solo exhibition by Annemarie Terlage
Past exhibition
Overview
Impulse Gallery is delighted to soon host the debut solo exhibition "Memories of Landscapes" of Dutch artist Annemarie Terlage. Central in her new bodies of work is her aspiration to share her memories of landscapes in her own unique style.
Annemarie Terlage composes landscapes and architectural settings through her experimental approach of mixing epoxy and acrylic paint on canvas. The array of lush landscapes and compositions in her work captures an almost dreamy delicacy of colours within resolute bold lines that present themselves with the element of depth of space. Dreams, memories, and visions of an ideal world, determine the attractiveness of a new series of monumental paintings Terlage created specially for her debut this season at Impulse Gallery. Aspirational titles like Hazey Haven, Summer of 69, and Melancholic Hill go along with reminiscent images of modern villa’s surrounded by lush gardens and beautifully illuminated pools. This new series seems to invite the onlooker to wander in wanderlust - layer by layer, the eyes are bedazzled by Annemarie Terlage’s memories of landscapes.
