Impulse Gallery is pleased to announce its first exhibition of 2025 "Vital Experts" featuring the works of Lipp & Leuthold, a groundbreaking Swiss artist duo whose practice navigates the fluid boundary between abstraction and figuration. This exhibition focuses on their mastery of the line as a central element in their work—a medium that carries vitality, marks transitions, and embodies both structure and spontaneity.
Lipp & Leuthold’s artistic process is defined by their deliberate balance between control and openness. As they explain, “We leave some steps deliberately open; for others, we develop guidelines.” This approach imbues their paintings with a sense of constant evolution, where the line is not merely a marker but an active participant in the creation of the work. Their lines—at times frenetic and gestural, at others deliberate and structural—traverse their canvases, creating spaces that oscillate between chaos and order.
