Rogelio Manzo
Overview
"My adventuresome approach in my work intends to descend into our psychological and mystic abysses.”

Originally from Mexico, he later settled in Sacramento after spending his youth in Reno, Nevada. While studying architecture in Mexico, Manzo discovered his true passion for painting and decided to pursue art as a full-time career. Influenced by his background in architecture, he incorporates unconventional materials like resin panels and layers of fabric to create a unique interplay of light and darkness in his artwork. Manzo's compelling portraits challenge the notion of perfection and explore the profound themes of mortality and social injustice, while also celebrating the raw and imperfect nature of human existence.
